Summer Alcoholic Drinks That You Can Make at Home

The warm weather is coming closer to summer.

This is a time when there are sunny days, cicadas chirping, and the lawnmower buzzing. You can enjoy the heat on your porch with these drink recipes.

These cool drinks are easy to make at home, and no bartending skills are required.

Mint Julep

Mint is a popular summer flavor. This flavor is brought to life by the refreshing combination of Bourbon and simple syrup.

Here’s the recipe:

  • Add eight fresh mint leaves and one-quarter ounce of simple syrup to a rocks glass. Mix the mint leaves into the bottom of the glass.
  • Two ounces of bourbon is recommended.
  • Add crushed ice to the remaining glass. Stir together.
  • Add more crushed ice. Add a fresh mint sprig to the top and some bitters.

Cold Brew & Bourbon

Easy mixed drinks can be a great way to cool down and get you moving again. With their creamy texture, chilled caffeine kick, and sweet vanilla flavor, cold brew and Bourbon are up to the challenge. You’ll need whiskey, homemade cold brew, heavy cream, and triple sec.

Here’s the recipe:

  • Get a cocktail shaker and a rocks glass.
  • Ice your rocks glass.
  • Mix 2 1/2 ounces cold brew coffee with 1 1/4 ounces Bourbon, 1 1/4 ounces triple sec, and one-half an ounce maple syrup in a shaker. Mix everything.
  • Strain the mixture onto the ice.
  • Add 1 ounce of heavy cream to your glass.
  • Serve with orange peel.

Classic Margarita

These refreshing drinks are light and smooth. To enhance the flavor, you will need Tequila and ice cubes.

  • Salt your cocktail glass
  • In a shaker, combine your margarita mixture and 3 ounces of Tequila.
